QUALITY ASSURANCE

GWM’s quality policy has also been clarified in a step-by-step development, which is to continuously promote quality progress and create value for customers.

In GWM, the quality control process is divided into 3 steps. Firstly, the process analysis and quality prediction of the molding process of castings in the part design stage, thus assisting engineers to complete the process optimization of castings. Secondly, during the order production process, the pre-designed production process card is strictly implemented, and the three-step inspection of incoming material, process inspection and final inspection is done in the production process. Third, when problems are found in the production process or when customers have any feedback on product quality, immediately start the quality abnormality response procedure, draw up corrective and preventive measures to close the existing quality loopholes and improve quality control.

What is Lost Wax Casting

Lost wax casting is an expression of human ingenuity in manufacturing. The wax pattern is firstly made as a stand-in for the real metal part, which can accurately reflect the appearance and dimension of the product, and then zirconium sand and other high-strength materials are covered on the outside of the wax mold to make the shell mold. The cavity will be formed inside the shell mold when the wax pattern is melted, and then the liquid metal can be poured into the cavity to obtain a metal part that meets the requirements of the drawings.

Features

Compared to traditional casting processes such as sand casting, the lost wax casting could produce the metal parts with the advantage of more precise dimensions and surface roughness.

Compared to die-casting and forging process, lost wax casting owns the extremely low tooling costs, and there is no limited of the minimum order quantity.

At the same time, because the process of lost wax casting is more complex, the production lead time of castings is also longer than other processes.
